Baccarat Rules and Tips at Indigo Casinos

I don't really know if you have played baccarat. It is a very fun casino game. For those of you who like gambling and have never tried this game, I reckon you should try it the next time you visit a casino. It is extremely easy to play and is very enjoyable. I have played it only a couple of times but have really enjoyed it. Don't be surprised when you don't find too many people at the Baccarat table, for some unfathomable reason it is not popular with the people and at the casinos. I for one think it is one of the best games at the casinos.

Baccarat has to be one of the card games with the easiest rules. In many ways the game resembles Blackjack but Infact it is far easier and better than Blackjack. It does not have any complicated rules as such.

Baccarat rules:-

The game is played from either a six or eight deck shoe. Cards like kings, queens, jacks and tens have a "0" value while the ace is assigned "1" and every other card holds its face value. In this game the suits of the cards dealt holds no value. The idea is that the hand dealt should add up to 9 in order to win so if the sum is 10 or above the digit on the left is omitted. For example, the sum of the cards is 13, it is taken as 3.

To begin the game, the players need to bet either on the bankers hand or the players hand or on a "tie". The dealer begins by dealing two cards to both the hands. If one hand reaches 9 in the very first two cards, it is called a "natural" and the hand automatically wins. Even if the hand adds up to 8, it is a natural and the hand wins.

The dealer always deals first to the player and then to the banker. Depending on the sum of the cards, a third card may be given to both the player and the banker. Remember the hand that gets 0 or a sum closest to 9 wins.

If the game goes to three cards there are a few more rules but you don't really need to know them to play. You will be fine even without knowing those rules; they are more compulsory decisions that basically will come automatically. You can hardly ever go wrong with those rules.

Like I said earlier, the game does not have too many rules to have to keep in mind. It is most certainly not complicated. It is easy to play the game and when you win it is extremely rewarding. Something to remember is that placing a bet on "tie" is not a very wise idea. It is very rare to get a "tie". Actually the odds are so high that it is not worth taking the risk unless you are going to be okay with losing money.

So next time you are at a casino, go give it a shot, you are bound to enjoy it!
