Poker is a very famous card game in which wager is made on the worth of the hand cards combination. In poker the player who wins, is the player who has the highest cards, or the player who stays "in the hands" after all players have folded their cards or the player who do an uncalled bet. However, there are many variations in the poker game; lets discuss some of the most common played poker games in the casinos.
Texas hold'em
Texas hold'em or just holdem is one of the most well-liked poker games. In this game there can be no limit or pot limit or limit, all having different tactics and strategies. This game is a community card game in which the players deals with two cards plus shares five common cards. Player who remains till he end and mix their cards along the community cards to get best five-hands cards win, if nobody calls, however in that case the last remaining hand wins the game.
Omaha poker game or Omaha holdem
This too is a community card game akin to Texas holdem, but however Omaha poker game players shares five community cards and receives four personal cards. Omaha poker is further categorized into two categories which are, Omaha high and Omaha hi/lo. The Omaha poker game can be played with limit, no limit or pot limit which is very rare.
Stud
Stud poker is one of its own kinds, and has several discrepancies. In casinos, the seven card stud is one of the most famous games played where as in tournaments seven card studs hi/lo is the most popular. As compared to any other community card game stud is much popular game in the casinos and the stud high-low is one of the most common form of hi/lo stud game in casinos. However stud poker needs great skills and tactics to play the game, thus the chances of losing the game are high for the new comers.
Draw Poker
Draw poker is the most crucial game among all the poker games, and because of its tremendously high level skills, the bad players or the new comers simply don't have any chance for even playing up to the medium level. However, today draw is almost vanished in casinos, thus a player should have a better or jack before they open prior to draw.
Lowball
Low ball is another type of game which has a five card draw in which the player with the lowest hands wins the game excluding the flushes or the straights. However, the aces play low, thus a five-high is the most excellent hand i.e. 5432A. The dissimilarity in this game is the deuce to seven draw where straights and flushes are counted and aces play high. In this case 75432 is the best possible hand.
Razz
This is a mechanical seven card stud lowball game and is played with a full table of players. However, razz is not common in shot handed conditions and tournaments where there are limited chip stacks.
Diverse Poker Games
H.O.E -holdem, Omaha, eight or better, O.E-Omaha high/low, stud high low, H.O.R.S.E -holdem, Omaha, razz, eight or better, these all are common with higher limits in casinos. However the mixed or the diver's games are often spread to maintain solo games "specialist" out. |
